Welcome

The title Bampinay is the combination of two words originating from the Filipino dialect Tagalog:

Bampira = Vampire
Pinay = Filipina (Philippine [American] woman)

Bampinay is an ambitious shoestring budget short horror film completed on May 6, 2003. It is the first attempted by an Asian American filmmaker to bring the mythological aswang to the American landscape in a motion picture. We are keeping it real with our folklore and legends.

This is only a short film, however we are currently in the works of making a feature length movie with characters from the short film. Contact us if you would like to get involved with this project.

It was no doubt a difficult task to bring this creature to life, but a lot of people put some love in this project to breathe life into this creation. It's team of talented artisans consist of members of I Don't Care Production, Vector Frankenstein Effects House (special effects), D24 Films (Production Services), Shining Armor, The RP63 Collective (Second Unit) and many others.

Contact us for DVD and VHS copies and screenings.
